Binder Hydroxyethyl Cellulose CAS NO. 9004-62-0

Ethyl cellulose (HEC), chemical formula (C2H6O2) n, is a white or light yellow, odorless, non-toxic fibrous or powdered solid prepared by etherification of alkaline cellulose and ethylene oxide (or chloroethanol). It belongs to the non ionic soluble cellulose ether class. Due to its excellent thickening, suspension, dispersion, emulsification, adhesion, film-forming, moisture protection, and provision of protective colloids, HEC has been widely used in fields such as petroleum extraction, coatings, construction, pharmaceuticals and food, textiles, papermaking, and polymer polymerization reactions. 40 mesh sieving rate ≥ 99%.
